Excellent music right here in our town.  Liz Mandeville’s “Red Top” CD is just great.  We have 15 cuts here from soft and slow, to “rip ‘em up” blues.  After touring the U.S., Canada, and Europe Liz found time to settle down enuf to make her 4th CD on Earwig.  Go to www.earwigmusic.com or www.lizmandeville.com if you can’t find it in the store yet.  Anyway Liz has the heart and soul, and the guitar licks to make a really energetic, and fun blues CD that hits the spot.  I like it more every time I listen.  “Red Top” is about her, I mean bright red hair.  On fire I’d say.  My favorite cuts are well “Red Top,” “My Baby’s Her Baby Too,’ “Scratch the Kitty,” and “Spanky Butt.”  Most of those songs are about just what the title insinuates.  Lots of energy here, and a young girl with the blues, who loves to play.  I have really enjoyed this CD.  I think you will too.  She has a great band that doesn’t get in the way.  Saxophones, back up singers, nobody shows off and gets out of hand.  Just a fine mix.  Look for it, or go to the above mentioned websites and check it out.  Yea she’s “Guilty of Rockin’ All Night” and that’s for sure.  One love..........your friend.........blue barry
