CD Review – Travis “Moonchild” Haddix – Daylight to Midnight
Blue barry – knoxville, tn.
August, 2008
Now here is some really
good, funky, old school sounding blues like we want to hear. Check out Travis “Moonchild” Haddix’s new CD
“Daylight to Midnight.” www.earwigmusic.com. or Order@bdcdistribution.com.
Travis has played in seventeen
countries. Including the good ole
U.S.A., and with his brand of blues he is popular in every one of them. There are 10 cuts on the CD, all by Travis,
and he really shows his stuff. My
favorite cut is “Way Back in the Country.”
Every bee don’t make honey, and every bird don’t know how to sing. Yea, he’s a country gentleman. We’re
talking horn section, organ, a real
band here. Travis is just fun to listen
to. Nothing fancy, not 25 over- dubs,
just blues. Really good stuff. Travis is slow and easy, channeling a groove
from the first to last cut. “Daylight
to Midnight” is another favorite. Why
don’t you get online and see what happens?
Look for more of Travis Haddix in the future. In the meantime enjoy this one.
I ain’t lying, you’re gonna’ like it.....your friend...blue barry
